FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Today, Dina Shunnarah announced her intentions to qualify for the Hoover City Council Seat 2 in the August 25th municipal elections. Qualifying opens up July 7th and closes July 21st. Seat 2 is being vacated by Councilman Gene Smith who is running for Mayor.
“I decided to run for Hoover City Council Seat 2 because I have seen firsthand the opportunities but challenges, we are facing. First and foremost, I am a mother, and all of our girls have attended public schools. We have the best schools in the state in fact, and we all know the schools are the heart of any community. But Hoover must continue to keep up with the infrastructure needs of the residential growth, demands and opportunities we are facing. Believe me I know; Hoover is a great place to call home and raise a family. Also, as a small business owner I know how important it is that we support local businesses, recruit retail and businesses to our community in order to thrive. Our parks and recreations must be state of the art and I will continue to work hard to make sure this is a big part of our community. I am looking forward to the days on the campaign trail where I can tell you all why I am the best candidate for the job,” said Shunnarah
